How do you accept payment?

Once we decide working together is a good idea, we'll send an invoice. With most projects we ask for a 50% non-refundable down-payment before scheduling work. The remaining balance is paid in milestones specific to the project. Final files/artwork will not be sent until remaining balances are paid. Payments can be sent via check or PayPal. Note, all payment directions will be indicated in your invoice. *Projects under $500 require full payment up front.

How many revisions am I allowed?

That all depends. Typically clients are allowed 2 rounds of revisions.

What are your hours?

Client calls can be scheduled

  • Tuesday 12:00pm - 2:00pm

  • Wednesday 12:00pm - 2:00pm

How much does it cost to work with MDS?

It varies depending on what’s needed. Custom quotes are available are client consultation calls.

What should I have prepared before we begin working?

Clients should be able to provide the following basic information. You will be expected to complete additional client homework before initial mockups are sent.

  • Business/brand vision and mission

  • A basic business description

  • Target audiences

  • List of services

  • Nearly complete content (for web design clients)

Do you assist with content development?

Clients should provide their own original content. Mebane Design Studio does offer content development services. The cost for content development can be added to the cost of web development services.

What platforms do you prefer?

Our websites are almost exclusively created using Squarespace. We also build on Shopify for eCommerce sites.

Is the cost of my domain and hosting included in your fees?

No. Clients will need to pay for their own domain and web hosting in addition to the cost of design. We suggest purchasing your domain name through Go Daddy.

How long on average do projects take to complete?

  • Branding Projects - 2 months

  • Marketing materials - 2-3 weeks (minimum)

  • Websites - 2-3 months

Reactivation

Any projects left delinquent for over 30 days will be closed out. Clients will need to pay a reactivation fee of $150 to resume services.

Are photos and typefaces (fonts) included in the cost of services?

It's suggested clients provide their own original high resolution images. The cost of stock photography is not included in your service. Any fonts or stock photos that are purchased will be added on to your final balance.

Mebane Design Studio does offer photography services to clients located in-or-around the D.C./Maryland/Virginia area. Pricing available upon request.
